The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins (Review) - Pol Andreu
The Hunger Games is a trilogy of science
fiction and adventure novels written by American novelist Suzanne
Collins. The series is set in The Hunger Games universe, and explain
the story trough Katniss Everdeen eyes.
The trilogy is made up of three books: “The Hunger Games”, “Catching Fire” and “Mockingjay”.
It’s about a sixteen-aged-girl from the 12th called Katniss Everdeen
who offered herself as a voluntary
to compete in the 74th Hunger Games of all Panem history (the fictitious
country where all the books are set). The Hunger Games is a competition which
is taken every year in a virtual map created by scientists, physicists and
engineers where two people (one male and one women) of each district compete until
only one of the 24 competitors rest alive.
The most enjoyable thing about the trilogy is
the way how is it written. It’s a first-person narrative and the story is
explained through Katniss’ eyes, this type of narrator helps you to feel as if
you were into the book and this hook you to keep it reading.
The only fault I can find is that the series is
too short because when the third book is finished you want to continue reading.
In conclusion, I think it’s a very good book
because is the only one which I read until the end and it have a lot of secrets
which I hadn’t reveal. Read it if you can!
