Nowadays it is necessary to speak more than one language, but being multilingual can have some disadvantage?

On the one hand, the world has been dominated by languages. This fact means that people who have mastered more than one language can find work more easily. Other advantage is you can travel with more tranquility since you have more languages to communicate with the rest of the people. The advantage of dominate more of one language is the relation with people of others countries, because if you are in your country but you are asked by a tourist about some street and he speaks to you in his language and you dominate these language, you can help the tourist more easily. For example, English tourists can not be helped by me because of my bad English.

On the other hand, this fact have some disadvantages, but few. When you dominate more than one language, you can get involved when talking and mixing words from different languages or when you are writting you can write misspelled words because of the influence of the other language, for example, I sometimes confuse the conjuction "y " and "i" because are different in spanish and catalan.

In my opinion is very important dominate a lot of languages because you can communicate with more people and more easily, but you must have clear the grammar, ortography... for not to be confused about language when speaking or writing.
